What is Wireless Local Number Portability?

Wireless Local Number Portability or “WLNP” allows you to keep your current phone number if you change wireless companies within the same geographic area. Check to see if you are under contract with your current company. If so, you may have to pay an early termination fee for canceling service before the contract expires. It is important that you do not disconnect your “current” service until after you have established “new” service with your new wireless phone company.
